Our social problem needs a quick response, because the knowledge and skills detained by elders need to be carried forward through generations. Without this initiative people won’t be able to enjoy the beauty brought by these traditional products and their story. With the integration of Romania in the European Union, the concept of social enterprises has been automatically imported, even though social business initiatives existed long before the development of this terminology. At the same time, national government started to address founds for the development of social enterprises but their restrictive conditions regarding employability, profitability and sustainability are difficult to be followed by our target group made of local craftsmen.
Nowadays, our government and the economy in general is more tourism oriented. This means we treat tradition as a whole, which includes destinations and products all together. So you can buy a traditional product only during visiting a specific destination.
Our goal is to change the condition of romanian craftsmen from persons who work on subsistence limit to passionate producers. More than that, knowledge and skills which otherwise would vanish overtime will now revive and live in western countries.

Taking into consideration the impact of globalization on craftsmen’s life,we can say that promoting their products on a national and international level,as well as creating an online store for selling their goods are the best solutions to this social problem. From our research we have seen that there are no other initiatives already put in practice for highlighting the remarkable work of craftsmen.
