As money -and debt- grow over time, financial ignorance grows poverty and the inequality gap each second. Mexico ranks 13/17 G20 countries in knowledge, attitudes and financial ; 90% is learned at home, and there’s still no formal education program. Current solutions are face-to-face tools, therefore they are hardly scalable; or they are books, which don’t develop skills nor attitudes.
Therefore, You Plus creates and delivers ludic and self-taught tools that work on knowledge, abilities and attitudes which helps to the responsible and convenient use of money and financial system.

When I was working at Financial Education Program at BBVA I realized that 65% of mexicans spend over their earnings; therefore, they don’t have a healthy relationship with money. I also realized that only 8% of mexican schools offer Financial Education in their curriculum. These leads to an inefficient use of their resources and in an unfavorable use of financial products and services, which increases poverty and the inequality gap in the aggregate level.
I also realized that as we human beings are both: corporal and spiritual, we naturally desire infinitely and will never be satisfied by something material. On the other hand, this insatiable desire is what keeps us alive, working motivated until we reach that desire.
So which is the answer to infinite desires and the economic problem of scarcity?
With this two facts I decided to create a social business that integrates in one tool Financial Education and Integral Personal Development. This way people may unterstand themselves and, for example, use their natural insatiable desire to build their goals, through the correct administration of their resources.
The first product we have launched is a self-taught game named AFORTUNADA MENTE (a play on words in Spanish). With this game you can learn while you have fun. And as a good game, it is addictive and disposes the player with an open attitude to learn. On a 60 minute play you’ll met with: Economic and Financial knowledge, abilities and attitudes training; and Integral Personal Development challenges, both necessary to win the game. It is understandable, agile and competitive for children from 9 years to adults.
We reach families through local distributors and recommendation network who also take us to schools and oher education business. These, in turn, reach many other families and feed the recommendation network. So the relationship we have with clients are based on personal, close and trust relationships, mainly. We also use Social Media.
Then, the revenue comes from sales to families and schools with an 90% of net profit.
Our main resources are our interdisciplinary team with academic and professional knowledge and skills to create and sell new products. This is intrinsecally linked to our Key Partners which are our manufacturing suppliers who permit us a large-scale and quality production; our recommendation network; schools and other education business; and for next steps where we will integrate financial inclusion, Banks and Government will also be Key Partners.
Our Key Activities are the development and manufacturing of products, through the internal team and suppliers, respectively; and the sale and presentation to schools through local distributors.
Our main costs are: manufacturing, sales commisions, and Marketing.
This is how families learn and train themselves to focus all their person in reaching their goals and with the correct administration of their resources.
